Mess this bless

The English / Icelandic colony in the penthouse is undergoing a change these days.
If you would come and visit  us today then you would notice that there is almost no place to sit down on, and a layer of white dust would gather under your socks.

But most of the work up here is done... at least the practical things, the walls now have their right colors and the  englishman runs now around the living room with a brush in one hand and a paintbucket in the other making touch-ups on the wooden skirting down by the floor.

I cannot begin to tell you how much coffee we have consumed during this process, but I would guess we have made as much coffee in this apartment over the last 5 days as a small coffee shop in Munkfors. Actually I should take no credit for this as Leon has been the one pulling the wagon and getting it done.

Our aim is to have the furniture back in place for sunday, sure small stuff remains which will all fall into place under the course of the week.

Then Leon will return briefly to his motherland next thursday to confess his sins and meet his fellow men. Probably he will eat some custard as well, because that is just what you do when you are in England.

But anyway, drop by next sunday evening for a cup of coffee if the coffee machine has not melted down and check out the place. Oh and we need frames, big frames small frames, just give / sell us all the frames you and your parents have.

Island... a small yo!

the view from the plane window.

But like you kollektiv guys know I (Ævar) am off to my home country for a couple of weeks, to get a break from the snow and cold. Yes ok I see in the picture we also have snow... but that snow is in the mountains, not near me!! I swear!!

I talk a lot about the wind that is here in Iceland, but somehow I forgot about it and as i stepped out the doors of the airport all my duty free receipts blew up from the bags I had and now they are probably somewhere on the other side of the country... or maybe you guys will find them tomorrow on your street, who knows.

At this hour, after eating cold smoked lamb and potatos with my family, I'm gonna call it a night. But I just wanted to post this to let you know I am alive. So yes...
